About Oradell NJ

Oradell is a borough in Bergen County NJ and has a population of approximately 8,314 people.  It was originally formed as the borough of Delford in 1894 during a phenomenon that has become known as “boroughitis”.  In 1924 the borough’s name was officially changed to Oradell.  The name derives from the combination of “ora” (latin for edge) and “dell”.  Oradell is bordered by the Bergen County municipalities of Dumont, Emerson, Haworth, New Milford, Paramus and River Edge.
