About Dr. Tulsyan | Bergen County Vascular Treatments
In 1992, before Dr. Tulsyan started his work here at the Bergen Vein Clinic, he entered the accelerated combined B.S.-M.D. Program at Stevens Institute of Technology & NJ Medical School. While matriculating at Stevens Institute, he was awarded the Chemical Quarter Century Club Scholarship, Edwin A. Stevens Scholarship and Edward J. Bloustein distinguished scholarship. Dr. Tulsyan graduated valedictorian from Stevens Institute, Summa Cum Laude, receiving his B.S. Degree in 1995. He entered the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in 1995 where he was awarded the Dean's Commendation for scholastic achievement and received his doctor of medicine degree in 1999. He then graduated from his general surgical residency at Morristown Medical Center in 2004. During his surgical residency, he was awarded the A. Lester Granet Humanitarian award and twice awarded the James l. Filipone Jr., MD. Award. Furthermore, Dr. Tulsyan performed his vascular surgical specialization at the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation from 2004-2007.
Dr. Nirman Tulsyan is a board-certified vascular surgeon with 15+ years of experience. Dr. Tulsyan has been a practicing attending vascular surgeon since 2007. He has vast experience in complex aortic reconstruction, carotid artery disease, lower extremity arterial and venous pathology and management of dialysis access for patients with end-stage renal disease. He is also a prolific writer. Having authored over 20 research articles published in peer-reviewed journals, as well as 2 individual book chapters on vascular surgery.
